Red Pandas coming soon to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Red Pandas coming soon to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
If you don’t love stories about cuddly creatures maybe stop reading now. And while you’re at it, take a long hard look at yourself.
If you do, GUESS WHAT. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is opening a whole new section dedicated to cuddly creatures (and some scaly ones) and we can all go and get involved because life is golden.
Lost Valley will be a five-acre tropical precinct that allows you to get up close and personal with flora and wildlife from the ancient supercontinent of Gondwana. You’ll be able to interact with exotic species like Ring Tail Lemurs, Cotton-top Tamarins, Red Pandas, Capybaras (world’s largest living rodent), free-flying birds and exotic reptiles. Oh my.
It’s literally going to be a living, breathing rainforest with a free-flying bird aviary so maybe cancel your Christmas plans and go wait out the front until opening day.
The precinct will be the biggest Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has opened in its 70 years history and the crew have managed to bring in some pretty incredible animals, many of which you may never have laid eyes on before.
It pays tribute to the Gold Coast Hinterland’s real and existing Lost World Valley, which is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage listed area.
Lost Valley (best name) will open on December 26th to take the place of all the mediocre Christmas presents your Grandma gave you.
